Role Summary:
Frontline resource for Business Development of Existing and New Products in the Food Polymers BU. The incumbent will develop new customers/new markets for SPVA and New products, convert opportunities to sales, provide technical support to users.
Assist in building new products/innovation pipeline by working closely with customers & better market understanding to create new products ideas/new opportunities for Food Polymer Business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility would be to identity new sources of business - be it new products, new customers, new markets, new applications or a combination of these.
- The incumbent will develop new markets/new applications for existing products for new revenue opportunities.
- Conduct primary & secondary market research to understand market, customer needs for new opportunity analysis.
- To collate all technical and commercial inputs from customers required for - go to market- decisions.
- The incumbent should be keen to handle certain key accounts for sales from existing products.
- Continuous tracking of competitive activities in the Food Polymer space and its adjacencies.
- Customer Visits, Products Trials, Resolution of Technical/Commercial Issues/Complaints & taking up with the concerned authority.
Skills Required:
- 7-8 years in Business Development/Marketing roles in B2B space in Chemical Industry
- Proven track record of new business development in chemicals/polymers industry
- (Ester gum industry preferred)
- Market Analysis, Business Development, Sales - Planning & Feedback for new and existing products
- Technical Support on new product development, Joint Product trials, Resolution of Technical Issues
- SCM : New Chemicals/Packaging development, alternate vendors development, Dispatch scheduling; Commercial : Taxation etc
- Production feasibility understanding for the new products/applications, Production Planning
