We are looking for a Manager to join our Business Development team, to partner with us in building out the platform and growing the - demand- side, i.e., pool of quality projects and assignments on the platform. Some of the qualities we are looking for are :
- Self-starter with high energy - some experience in a fast-growing startup will be a plus
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with MS Excel and Power Point
- 5-6+ years of work experience in consulting or business development
- B2B sales and account management experience will be particularly relevant
- Ability to formulate and lead execution for their own sales plan
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Personal and professional integrity
Key responsibilities :
1. Core business development activities :
- Build and execute sales plan in line with the broader business development strategy
- Developing and managing the outreach strategy across various segments of corporate users i.e., MNCs, start-ups, investors.
- Developing targeted value propositions and communications materials for various segments of corporate users
- Own a portfolio of clients and drive the engagement with them - conduct regular analysis of platform usage and trends, determine key issues / insights and suggest actions
- Regular follow-ups with key clients and developing strong client relationships
- Independently, pitch the concept, manage follow-up, and ensure leads- questions are answered
2. Stay abreast of industry trends :
- Stay up to date about any upcoming relevant events, conferences and seminars, attending the same
- Envision and execute strategic partnerships e.g., industry associations, universities
3. Manage the BD PMO (together with the BD lead) :
- Support BD Lead in target setting and making financial projections (overall, by product, by client)
- Managing own and team's BD pipeline - tracking communications, success rates, etc.
- Support design of key strategic initiatives through analytics and primary research
- Refine the company outreach strategy jointly with the CEO and Marketing teams based on data on skills, usage patterns, success rates for different types of roles and organizations
