Roles & Responsibilities:
1. To enhance revenue, profit, and market share with existing and new business accounts through strategic planning
2. Actively network to establish key relationships and to identify new opportunities in the Biotech business.
- Support the overall Business Development and management team in realizing growth expectations and achieving financial targets.
- Act as a focal point for incoming customer enquiries, ensuring a professional response to queries and concerns, whilst at the same time seeking to maximize opportunities through the identification and effective follow-up of sales leads.
- Represent customer needs to internal stakeholders and follow up the technical/commercial proposals & contract development process.
- Develop and maintain a structured business development plan to include the following:
- Frequent monthly account visits - Identify tradeshows and have active participation and assist marketing activities.
- Prioritize accounts in line with BU targets and manage this account.
- Develop an account specific sales strategy for global key accounts to achieve defined BU targets. Monitor the global chemical biotech market to identify trends and develop a tailored sales approach to take advantage of current/future issues faced by clients.
- Prepare individual business development action plans in line with the overall BU strategy to ensure a targeted and focused approach that consistently contributes to the overall growth aims of the business.
10. Actively follow up on all commercial proposals and conduct client presentations whenever required.
11. Negotiate and close business deals.
12. Develop very close relationships with and work with all appropriate internal stakeholders and local sales teams.
13. Develop and maintain business development databases such as recording results of all activities on an on-going basis into the Sales Pipeline.
14. Ensure global legal Agreements are finalized, signed and archived appropriately by the two parties.
15. Developing prospective areas and new market channel partners to achieve consistent business growth.
16. Close collaboration with R&D Application team for new product/application initiatives
17. Work closely with regulatory team to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements relative to cross-border movements, customs duties etc. for imports of Intercept products.
