This position reports directly to the Director of PeopleLynx.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development :
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. - Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches. - Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing and negotiation.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. - Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
2. Business Development Planning
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
3. Building Existing Business :
- Present the value adds to enhance existing relationships.
- Work with delivery staff to meet client needs.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debrief
4. Management and Research :
- Forecast sales targets and establish key performance indicator (KPI) metrics on a weekly or monthly basis as appropriate. Ensure KPIs are met by the team and submit progress reports to the CEO. Ensure all data is accurate.
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
- Understanding of the people landscape/tools/partners to build strategic partnership and alliances
- Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.
- Understand the company's goal and purpose so that will continue to enhance the company's performance.
5. Marketing/PR/Communications :
- Overall development and execution of marketing/PR/communications plan(s) for the organization
- Provide guidance in identifying new marketing/promotional opportunities to grow Conference, Symposium, & other event sponsorship revenue
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven track record of success as a business development manager/sales executive or relevant role where revenue goals were established, achieved and exceeded
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and people skills
- Demonstrable work experience with a minimum of five years of accomplishments in strategic needs-based sales with equivalent success with high-level negotiations
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- MBA in business administration, sales or relevant field
- Proficiency in MS Office
