JOB TITLE: Manager - Business Analytics

GENERAL SUMMARY:
State the main purpose(s) of the job in the organization. What is the general level of responsibility?
- The Manager, Business Analysis is responsible for developing new and analyzing existing business strategies within the department.
- (S)he is a creative analytical problem solver, capable of constructing effective analytical approaches to complex, quantitative business problems and generating data-supported solutions.
- (S)he participates in defining the strategy for a team in a department, and can independently manage meaningful projects and workstreams within that strategy.
- Key responsibilities (may) include driving projects/ initiatives which have high data dependencies, budgeting/forecasting, test design and analysis, process design and analysis, and financial analysis of business initiatives.

Band Description: People/Functional Manager; manages team and/or function in a department; responsible for techniques of their function; contributes to creation of standards and policies. Generally under general direction. Broad knowledge and application.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
40%: State the primary responsibilities of the role and the primary tasks for each function.
- Identify and implement new business strategies to improve profitability and ways to improve business processes. Define and execute analytical approach to solving complex business problems through data extraction and analysis.
30%: Perform business/financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting. Sizing opportunities, developing business cases and driving implementation through cross functional teams. Develop reporting needs and monitor reports to understand trends, issues and opportunities
10%: Manage stakeholder expectations, project management and prioritization.
- Develop and coach direct report(s) and other analytical resources on cross-functional teams.
20%: Manage employee engagement through skill development and engagement activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's FIELD OF STUDY: Engineering
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years' experience in analytics or consulting
CERTIFICATION(S): Certification(s) required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
- Knowledge of Python /SAS / SQL / Azure. Demonstrated experience in unstructured problem solving and strong analytical aptitude
- Understanding of statistical modeling, segmentation, operations analytics. Ability to support model development, understanding models and develop implementation strategies
- Strong Communication (Written and Verbal)
- Presentation Skills
- Ability to multitask
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Master's or Advanced FIELD OF STUDY: Quantitative
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years' experience in analytics or consulting including 2+ years in Financial Services.
CERTIFICATION(S): Certification(s) preferred
