Sales Bid Manager
Qualification : Graduate. MBA preferred
Skills :
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous exposure to contracts and an understanding of basic contract language; experience securing large contracts
- Having extensive experience & understanding of the bid management process
- Knowledge of document management methods
- Should have worked in Bid Management role in a mid/large IT organization.
Experience :
- Over 6 years of relevant experience in Bidding with a Mid / large size IT/ Software set up
Role Description :
- Experience being part of bid management for large contracts
- Proposal Preparation
- Compelling Bids to be submitted in a timely manner
- Coordinating with other departments for getting the required information for bid preparation
- Hands on knowledge of creating a good techno functional bid
Job Description / Responsibilities :
- Manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities
- Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
- Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
- Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation(such as preparation of a management summary)
- Manage the bid budget
- Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids. Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues.
- Arrange all post bid reviews with customers,
Core Competencies :
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Good command over Microsoft word, xls and MPP
- Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
