Benefits and Payroll Manager

Our company is looking for a Benefits and Payroll Manager to join our team and oversee the entire payroll and benefits process. You will lead all monetary and non-monetary-related procedures, including reviewing timesheets, salaries, and benefits, evaluating PTO and vacation requests, and managing bi-weekly or monthly payroll processes. You are also expected to educate and guide employees on any payroll-related procedures and ensure that all employees fully use the benefits available to them.

As a Benefits and Payroll Manager, you need to communicate all benefit-related information to employees promptly and answer any questions and concerns they might have. The ideal candidate needs to have expertise in accounting software, such as Quickbooks, and have prior experience working as a Payroll Administrator or Payroll Specialist.

Responsibilities:

- Be in charge of the payroll and benefits policies and procedures for our company

- Review the bi-weekly or monthly payroll process to ensure that all employees are paid timely and accurately

- Oversee the administration of benefit programs and ensure the enrolment of all eligible employees

- Work with the senior management to analyze the current benefit program and provide recommendations to improve it

- Conduct regular training and workshops to educate employees about benefit plans and answer any questions they might have

- Act as a liaison between employees and benefit carriers during the benefit claim process

- Analyze any changes to federal and state laws regarding benefits and payroll and suggest any improvements to the Head of Human Resources

Requirements:

- At least 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or any related field

- Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding employment and labor laws

- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Quickbooks or Xero

- Exceptional analytical and organization skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
