Manager/AVP - Legal EMEA

Urgently looking for Manager/AVP- Legal EMEA with a financial services group.

The Offshore Corporate Legal provides assistance to the Corporate Legal teams in EMEA and USA. The team drafts, reviews and negotiates IT, non-IT, Market Data, Network Management, Consultancy, Facilities and Real estates and other contracts. The team also provides assitance on open source software and intellectual property related matters. The current opening is for a lawyer within the team that faces EMA.

Corporate Title : Manager/ AVP

Qualification : Qualified lawyer

Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief:

Work as a part of the Offshore Corporate Legal team, providing assistance to Corporate Legal and other stakeholders in terms of:

1.Review, negotiate and finalize contracts (IT and non-IT) to be executed between Nlp and other third party consultants/vendors;

2.Providing support in terms of IPR management (liaison with the business stakeholders, Corporate Communications, Corporate Legal at Nlp and the external counsel and provide advice on the registration of trademarks and usage of brand names);

3. Responding to and provide solutions to legal queries posed by the business teams in relation to vendor contractual relationships and breaches

Data Privacy related issues; independently handle the above functions and take them to closure;ability to manage multiple tasks; ability to take decisions, and be a team player;

Key Skills:

- A law degree from a reputed law college

- Minimum of 6 to 10 years’ experience in commercial contract negotiations
