Responsibilities:

- As part of the Risk Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals.

This responsibility involves driving credit risk policies in any of the following areas – authorizations, underwriting, existing customer management, collections and fraud.

This position will require working closely with their US counterparts in Retail Services to define, analyze, implement, and monitor credit risk strategies.

- To be successful in this role, the applicant needs to have a combination of good analytical and business skills.

Good analytical skills include:

- The ability to clearly formulate analytical hypothesis, perform ad-hoc analysis to support it, communicate results clearly, and understand cause & effect relationships. 

- Good business skills include: execution of business initiatives from analysis through implementation, management of multiple priorities, effective communication, maturity & stability.

Finally, the candidate must demonstrate a passion and a desire to be results oriented.

Candidate Specification:

Technical:

SAS: ability to manage very large datasets and manipulate data

Excel: expert in pivots & macros

Power point: ability to create presentations

Knowledge and Expertise:

Degree in Quantitative Fields such as Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Finance, or Mathematics (B.Tech., MA, M.Tech, or MBA preferred) with experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry.

- Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business objectives

- Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency

- Strong communications / presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with multiple levels

- Ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, decision makers and stakeholders

- Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
