This role of Debt Collection Agency Governance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:.
Compliance Management:.
- Ensure adherence to relevant RBI & MAS laws, regulations pertaining to Debt Collection Agencies.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
Risk Management:.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, reputational, and financial risks under Collection unit for Secured & Unsecured loan products.
- Implement risk management frameworks and monitoring systems.
Governance and Oversight:.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to senior management and staff.
Audit and Assurance:.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring effective remediation of findings.
- Conduct regular reviews of compliance and risk management practices.
Regulatory Engagement:.
- Liaise with regulatory auditors, Internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry developments.
Reporting and Analytics:.
- Provide regular compliance and risk management reports to senior management.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Staff Management and Development:.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of compliance and risk professionals.
- Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness within the Collections organization structure.
Requirements:.
- Relevant professional certification on Governance Mgmt.
- Strong knowledge of debt collection regulations and industry standards.
- Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing regulatory landscapes.
