Qualification and Experience :

- BE Civil with PG in Engineering/Technology in Transportation with 12 years of experience in design transportation planning with focus on Traffic and Transportation modelling and surveys, Public transportation systems and Transit oriented planning & managing multiple urban infrastructure/ roads & highways/ in the capacity of project engineer/ construction manager/ project coordinator.

b) General Job Description :

- Undertake analysis of the transport sector and policies with a view of ensuring comparability to best practices and responsiveness to development needs.

- Preparation of freight mobility plans for the identified key transportation corridors in the node covering road, rail, IWT and shipping. Freight mobility plans should allow for necessary demand on transportation infrastructure arising from passenger traffic.

- Identify requirements for multi-modal integrated transport infrastructure for the influence region while considering other envisaged developments in the delineated zone.

- Develop suitable strategies for augmentation of road and rail linkages based on analysis of traffic volume and freight distribution pattern to augment transport linkages and multi modal integration in the region.

- Develop logistics facilities based on the estimated commodity/freight generation for ensuring efficient logistics system with multi-modal integration in the zone by suitably suggesting measures for augmentation of existing dry ports/ inland container depots/bonded warehouses etc. as well as New Multi-modal Logistic Parks.

- Utilize economic, population, land use, and traffic projections to substantiate recommendations for transportation planning in rural, regional or urban areas.

- Analysis and evaluation of survey data and providing specific recommendations concerning the development of rural or urban transportation plans.
