Manager/Associate Director - Procurement - Manufacturing

Big4 has been mandated to recruit a Procurement Manager/Associate Director role for one of the top accounting organizations for multi locations- Chennai, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Work directly with clients on procurement cost reduction, category strategy, SOP/policy redesign, and process improvement/optimization.

2.Engage with clients, assess objectives, and analyze data to identify key insights.

3.Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics to formulate procurement strategies.

4.Conduct comprehensive research, analyze procurement data, and provide insightful recommendations.

5.Solve complex business problems and develop innovative solutions for procurement and supply chain challenges.

6.Lead strategy projects, define objectives, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

7.Present findings, facilitate workshops, and support procurement implementation.

8.Build strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities.

9.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and contribute to thought leadership.

Skills & Competencies:

1.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

2.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

3.Hands-on experience in procurement processes, cost optimization, and supplier management.

4.Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment.

5.Proficiency in data analysis and procurement tools/software.

Qualifications:

1. Btech + MBA from a tier 1 and tier 2 colleges.

2.Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big 4 / other international business consulting firms, with at least 4-6 years in Operations Consulting.

3.Industry experience in Procurement / Sourcing in Auto (Tier I or OEM) / Industrial Manufacturing (Cement, Steel, Chemical, FMCD, etc.).

4.Strong experience in sourcing/procurement of bought-out parts such as: Sheet metal components, Wiring harness, Forged parts, Tubular parts, Plastic parts, Motors, Electronic components, Electrical parts/components, Semiconductor, PCBs, etc. for Auto/Industrial manufacturing.

4.Driving procurement cost optimization initiatives within organizations.

5.Product cost benchmarking and optimization, including Value Analysis - Value Engineering (VA-VE).

6.Leading negotiations with vendors to drive cost efficiencies.

7.Open to travel for work-related requirements
