Manager/Associate Director-Commodity Advisory
BNC is hiring Manager/Associate Director for Commodity Advisory role for Mumbai location
1. Experienced in developing risk and financial commodity transaction workflows, portfolio and credit exposure reports, management dashboards, presentations and visualizations to communicate risk exposures, risk attributions and change rationalization using quantitative data analytics capabilities.
2. Experience and understanding of commodity price risk management practices on how corporates/ trading organizations support the transaction lifecycle; maintain segregation of duties and segregation between business units for all risk analysis and reporting. Preferable from oil & gas or metals and mining sector.
3. Candidates will review and consolidate independent mark-to-market valuations of commodity transactions and instruments and research anomalies in valuation; ensure accurate mark-to-market valuations of commodity transactions. Comfortable using Bloomberg/ Refinitiv/ Platts.
4. The candidate will be expected to lead/ assist assignments involving assisting Indian and international corporate organizations in their commodity operations
5. The candidate will be expected to lead / assist Managers and Senior Managers in Corporate Treasury assignments including advisory / Internal Audit/ review of treasury operations areas such as commodities price risk management, foreign exchange risk management and cash and liquidity management.
6. The assignments would include providing advisory / conducting reviews for the areas mentioned above covering strategy, policy, governance, day to day operations, process improvement opportunities, compliance to internal directives and regulatory requirements etc.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Graduate/ Postgraduates from UPES/ PDPU/ RGIPT/ MDI institutes with 5-8 years of experience and deep understanding of energy sector will be preferred.
2. Candidates from the Oil & Gas sector having worked within the Refinery Assay management/ Supply & trading function/ freight function will be preferred.
3. Strong understanding of commodity Supply and Trading operations and derivative products.
4. Well-versed in the concepts of commodities price risk management, foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management and cash and liquidity management.
5. Understanding of Spot and Derivative market operations for commodities and foreign exchange products including risk management (hedging strategies) and valuation aspects of the same.
6. Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements would be an advantage
