A leading investment bank is looking for an HR Business Partner
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, understanding the business needs and providing HR guidance and support.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Employee Relations:
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Talent Management:
- Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes as needed.
Organizational Development:
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
Change Management:
- Assist in driving organizational change by developing and implementing change management strategies.
- Support leaders in planning and managing the implementation of change initiatives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Performance Management:
- Support managers in the development and implementation of performance management programs, including performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
- Provide guidance on setting performance standards and evaluating performance.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Participate in the development and implementation of compensation programs and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar role.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the company's financials and operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., technology, finance, healthcare) as relevant to the position.
- Familiarity with HR analytics and ability to interpret HR data for decision-making.
