Manager/Assistant Manager - Design - Cycle/Auto Manufacturing Firm

POSITION: Asst. Manager & Manager

YRS OF EXP : 3 - 4 years and 6 - 8 years

LOCATION: Chennai

QUALIFICATION: Bachelors in product design/B.Mech Engg with Masters in Transportation Design/Masters in Product Design

BUDGET: 12 L and 15 lakhs

Institutes: MIT, NID, IDC, DOT Institute, NIFT, DJ Academy, UPES Darjeeling, DYPDC Pune.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Take ownership and lead projects from concept to launch working with a cross Functional Product Team

- Initiate and direct the development of models and prototypes to test and qualify key product characteristics, manufacturability, and aesthetics

- Define aspects of form, ergonomics, mechanical parameters, fit, function and meet defined expectations for product features, cost, manufacturability and launch

- Lead design including user interviews, research synthesis and concept validations

- Helping in creating a robust future pipeline of innovations

- Prepare and present new product concepts and finalize design solutions, internally and externally

- Communicate effectively with teammates, internal and external resources to ensure new product development success

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Exceptional portfolio, demonstrating examples of products created from concept to production and with successful introduction to market

2. Proficient knowledge of branding and how to lead the creation of products that connect with customers, and are representative of their respective brand

3. Proficient in all phases of product development, research, ideation, sketching, concept refinement

4. Knowledge of material and processes applicable to product development

5. Strond model making skills, ability to quickly mock up concepts, prototypes, from concept to finished appearance models

6. Proven ability of solving complex design problems with simple and elegant solutions

7. Excellent sketching and ideation skills, with superior visual communication and presentation abilities

8. Proficiency in 2D & 3D (Photoshop, Keyshot, Creo/Rhino/Alias, Coreldraw)
