About The Role :

- Partner with internal stakeholders including business and sales teams and help scale -up / transition from startup to an enterprise.

- Financial Modelling and MIS

- Financial modelling: build models from scratch, improve existing models, break complex models down into components.

- Preparing & managing the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasting.

- Driving business profitability by working with various teams to improve margins, reduce costs and enhance overall returns.

- Developing industry perspective by analysing competitors and market studies.

- Facilitating financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.

- Supporting management in executing business strategies to achieve targeted KPIs.

- Performance monitoring including MIS, business plan analysis ( Actual vs Budget) and P&L analysis

- Fund Raise & Business Finance

- Work with External agencies and support management in fund raising activities including managing & preparing business plans, investor outreach , investment closures

- Work with bankers (Existing and New ) in managing the existing working capital lines and manage the relationships including annual / quarterly banking reviews

- Competitive And Policy

- Collect and analyze information from internal and external sources through various techniques and provide thought provoking analysis and understanding of the solar market including government policies, competition, market development etc

- Solar Policy Updates and Grid Tariff updates on the online solar calculators.

- New Opportunity Assessment

- Special projects / ad hoc analyses: new initiatives, products, risks and opportunities are constantly arising.

- You will help to financially evaluate and help drive these important initiatives beyond traditional FP&A on a variety of projects.

What You'll Need:

- Master's Degree in Business, Finance.

- Graduate in any stream; Engineering Degree would be a plus.

- A minimum of 4-5 years in of experience in strategic consulting, FP&A, developing business cases and business plans based on market study and financial analysis.

- Exposure to consumer finance / banking would be an added advantage.

- Should have worked in Solar/Renewable industry

- Exceptional Excel skills: generate efficient, scalable and intuitive models with knowledge of the best practices. You can handle complexity but strive for simplicity

- Attention to detail: consistent with swift execution. We need to do things quickly and we need to do them well. Striking that balance can be challenging and this should be a strength of yours

- Excellent communication and people skills: numbers are key, but a business is built with people and you will manage several different stakeholders
