Manager - Application Production Support

We are a Senior Manpower recruitment company in INDIA with over 14+ years of market presence serving top notch IT/Non-IT clients in India and Abroad.

Skills : Application Production Support - MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage an area of around 40+ resources with a direct (hands-on) responsibility to one of the teams.

- Work closely with Local APS Head on operational & strategic level on day-to-day basis.

- To provide high level expertise in technical and functional support to end-users.

- To be the first point-of-contact and handle escalations around Level 1/2.

- Meet the objectives set by Reporting Manager (Onshore and offshore) so as to meet organization goals.

- To provide user requests/incidents follow-up until their resolution.

- To prioritize your workload in a continually fast-moving environment whilst managing conflicting requests and keeping within deadline.

- Monitor the applications (middleware layers, database, scheduled tasks).

- Automate and schedule applicative production and recurrent tasks.

- Study application evolutions with the development and business analysis teams.

- Create and maintain documentation.

- Understanding the technical architecture (scalability, reliability) with the Infrastructure team.

- Work in Shifts, provide holiday and weekend coverage.

- To understand and perform release and deployment methodologies independently.

- KPI Reporting to the management.

- Drive initiatives for efficiency improvements.

- Manage the planning of the shifts.

- Knowledge Level-Up.

- Succession planning.

- KPI Reporting.

- Governance & Process optimization.

Experience:

- Atleast 12+ years of experience in Application support (ITIL Certified preferred)

- Knowledge on banking application

- Team Lead experience of atleast 2 years AND

- Should have Managed atleast 3 Team leads for minimum 2 years.

- Should have managed an area of around 30+ resources under his/her direct responsibility

Technical Skills:

OS:

- Ability to understand windows configuration like services, registry editing, User management

- Good knowledge of working in UNIX environments

Middleware:

- Weblogic/Websphere/Tibco (atleast knowledge on one preferred)

Databases:

- Good skills on SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle & Sybase

- Knowledge on Troubleshooting

Reporting:

- Good in reporting, presentation creation, excel pivot points, budget management
