Education : Mandatory : Professional accounting qualification (MBA or CA)
Reporting to: Finance Controller
Position Objective: To be responsible for managing the financial reporting and to manage local commercial finance. Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures and to continue to strive for best practice in all areas of Financial Management and Control in close co-ordination with FC & FD.
Key Responsibilities: - Managing the month-end reporting including provisions, accruals etc ensuring redressal of queries or requirements or adhoc requests from Region/Global offices - Responsible for ensuring timely accurate management financial reporting working closely with Shared service centre in close conjunction with the FC
- Involvement in the local finance team's reporting of statutory financial reporting including audit and local legislative requirements on a timely and accurate basis. - Coordination with Client Servicing teams to ensure hygiene in timely receipt of PO from clients, billing and collection thereof - Supporting on new business documents, client code creation etc - Assisting in Budgets and Forecast process - Managing client expectations in managing the financial requirements like MIS, reconciliations, billing, collections and involvement in weekly/monthly calls or meetings
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures in conjunction with FC
- Ensuring finance team's adherence to the changes in financial controls and group policies as communicated from time to time
- Assisting in audit enquiries (both SOX and external) where required
- Involvement in preparation of various control reports, MIS for management, ageing reports, flash management reports to ensure compliance with targets
- Managing the financial operations with regard to Billing, Collections, MIS, Accruals including capturing it suitably for internal updates to seniors.
- Ensure the local market is adhering to the terms of client contracts
- Ensure that local market is following regional guidance on client reporting
Candidate Profile:
- Professional accounting qualification (MBA or CA)
- Minimum four years work experience
- Industry experience in reputed organizations preferred - Problem solving and multi-tasking are pre-requisite - Out-going individual, self-starter with high level of initiative to get things done efficiently and logically - Demonstrated expert-level skills using MS Power Point, Excel, and Word. Must have proven analytical skills in working with data to ensure its accuracy. - Sound, decisive quantitative/qualitative analytic skills - Proactive, - roll-up-the-sleeves", hands-on. - Proficient in verbal and written communication skills.
