KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Carry out Document checking of A-2 transactions and ensure that transaction processing happens in compliance with all relevant Regulatory requirements , liaison with Compliance Dept while dealing with complex transactions; counter checking of Regulatory returns like ECB, ODI etc to ensure that we provide correct and complete information to the regulators.
- Interaction with customers - internal / external and support advise on rules & regulations covering FEMA /AML guidelines
- Ensure Compliance of Regulatory & Internal Guidelines.
- Centralised control on activities related to ECB, FDI, ODI etc. including liaising with RBI Exercise strict control on these activities by
- Maintaining central data on ECB, ODI
- Centralised Scrutiny of regulatory returns on these for correctness , completeness and compliance.
- Support branches with timely advise and clearance of related documents
MAJOR CHALLENGES
- Ensure that A2 transactions supported are in strict adherence to FEMA guidelines , AML Act .
- To ensure that the activities carried out and transactions processed are in strict compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements thereby minimising the risk of operation loss, regulatory and reputation risks.
- Extend support to the GTS Ops team in deciding documentation / interpreting application of regulations in respect of complex transactions within agreed time lines.
KEY DECISIONS
- Decide on the do-ability/workability of referred A2 transactions as per guidelines / framework.
- Decisions on complex transactions as to whether the transaction is permissible and the documentation thereof.
- Priortise transactions

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- MBA, Post Graduate
- Sound knowledge of FEMA, UCP and related banking regulations
- At least 10 years in banking having expertise in trade and cross border payment products
