Responsibilities:
AP Operations & Team Leadership:
- Oversee the daily operations of the AP team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and queries.
- Manage and delegate tasks effectively, providing clear direction and coaching to team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and support team growth and development through training and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
Process Management & Optimization:
- Develop and implement effective AP processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Shared Service Center (SSC).
- Drive regular process reviews with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and implement process - automation solutions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures for AP transactions.
Accuracy & Control:
- Manage the creditors' ledger to ensure its accuracy, efficiency, and timely payments to suppliers.
- Oversee bank reconciliations for all legal entities, clearing outstanding items.
- Supervise intercompany reconciliations across the regional entities.
- Review, reconcile, and prepare analyses for GL accounts related to AP.
- Coordinate with auditors for audit completion and resolve audit queries.
Month-End Close & Reporting:
-Lead the AP team in completing monthly reconciliations and month-end closing processes.
- Ensure accurate monthly reconciliation of the AP control account in the General Ledger.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in AP automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP) with leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), and internal controls.
- Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
