- The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to books of accounts and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
- The Accounting Manager will have contact with senior managers and the firm's Executive Director and Controller which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
- Chartered Accountant cleared in first attempt with more than 5 years of experience preferably from E-commers, Telecom, FMCG,
- Must be able to multi-task, managing multiple sites simultaneously
- Problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Well versed with Microsoft office and ERP systems
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end books close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Work with the auditors, Company Secretary and other advisors and to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit and all compliance requirements are fulfilled within the deadlines.
- Review the Business applications from accounting perspective to ensure that financial systems and business application are in sync.
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices in the system with the help of technology team.
- Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be usedby the company.
- Experience of handling the team of more than 5 people.
- Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members.
- Handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Respond to inquiries from the Directors, Controller, and other finance and Company wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
- Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
