Role Outline/Job Summary : Serve as the single point of contact for APAC Country Controllers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Serve as the single point of contact for APAC Country Controllers
- Handle Accounting activities for Visa Incentives and Rewards
- Work with various Controllers to understand business requirements
- Process documentation and Risk & Control analysis
- To develop reports and accounting support for audit requirements and specific documents
- Adheres to corporate and business specific policies and considers appropriate controls as part of day-to-day responsibilities
Key Deliverables :
- Operational Accounting of Electronic Card Payment System
- Performs monthly, quarterly and yearly Variance analysis
- Investigation and resolution of Ledger Variances
- Account reconciliation
- Expense recognition/accrual entries
- Reviews General Ledger/Sub Ledgers on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting
- Management reporting
- Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop and implement new techniques for process improvement
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with experience in an Accounting/Finance related position; Post graduate or certifications are a plus
- CA/ICWA/MBA/CPA with relevant experience is desired
Experience :
- Minimum of 6 years experience in General Ledger Accounting
- Preferable experience in leading a team of professionals
- Relevant experience with Card/Payments business is preferred
- Experience with Monthly Ledger Variance Analysis
- Experience with technical analysis in specific technology areas such as platforms (Oracle and People Soft)
- Experience within a delivery role
- Experience with client-facing consulting engagements
