Role Title : Management Trainee- Clearing and Settlement Risk
Function : Clearing and Settlement
Reports to : Functionally MT Clearing and Settlement Risk
Reports to : Administratively MT Clearing and Settlement Risk
Purpose of the role :
Key Responsibilities :
Descriptive Parameters :
Pre market open operations :
- Examine utilization of members, analyse member risks and make calls to clarify to maintain adequate collateral for members.
- Check all systems and prepare environment for members to ensure that trades can be made and obligations fulfilled.
- Facilitate movement of collateral and initiate action i.e. disable or enable member access.
Online intraday monitoring :
- Track member activity and access permissions throughout the day and check for deviations so as to ensure compliance.
- Check utilization and reset risk parameters of members according to SEBI norms and guidelines
- On T+2 day release all margins for settled obligations.
- Process and impose penalties on members for both CDS and Equity derivatives in case of deviations from stipulations. Compute all member margins for internal compliance and records.
- Track market operations to protect from risk by controlling margins. Track and calculate new margins based on price changes to ensure member's compliance.
- Understand high risk members through tracking their utilization for internal regulation requirements.
Post market - Closure Operations :
- Compute all margins so as to set risk parameters and ensure compliance.
- Facilitate report download to members through the extranet.
Reports :
- Provide reports / data to external agencies i.e. regulators in order to ensure compliance to regulatory stipulations.
Note : Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on organisational requirements.

Essential : CA/ MBA Finance Degree

- Understanding of the financial and capital markets.
Experience :
Essential : 1 - 3 years experience in the Finance sector with BFSI or BPO arm of Financial organisations.
