We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketplace Performance Marketing General Manager to join our team. As a DGM, you will be responsible for driving the overall performance marketing strategy and execution for our online marketplace. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through effective marketing campaigns and initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital marketing, a data-driven approach, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, including experience running ads on various marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Purplle, Quick Commerce, and others.
Responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive performance marketing strategy for the marketplace, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
2. Oversee all aspects of performance marketing channels, including paid search, display advertising, affiliate marketing, email marketing, social media advertising, and advertising on platforms like Amazon Marketing Services (AMS), Flipkart Ads, Purplle Ads, Quick Commerce Ads, and other relevant marketplaces.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to define campaign objectives, target audience, and messaging to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
4. Manage and optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels to maximize ROI and achieve performance targets.
5. Leverage data analytics and market insights to identify trends, evaluate campaign performance, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
6. Lead a team of performance marketing specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive their professional growth and enhance team performance.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
8. Foster strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to enhance marketing capabilities and explore new opportunities for growth.
9. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to optimize the marketplace's user experience, conversion rates, and overall customer journey.
10. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to senior leadership on marketing performance, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (5+ years) in performance marketing, with a focus on e-commerce or online marketplaces.
2. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights and strategies.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing multi-channel performance marketing campaigns, including paid search, display advertising, affiliate marketing, email marketing, social media advertising, and advertising on platforms like Amazon Marketing Services (AMS), Flipkart Ads, Purplle Ads, Quick Commerce Ads, and other relevant marketplaces.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of performance marketing specialists.
5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex marketing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
8. A strategic thinker with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
