Role Overview:
This role is a part of Alternate Accommodation segment wherein the incumbent is responsible for driving sales and managing accounts of the zone assigned with the help of business development team.
Know the Function:
Alternate Accommodation caters to increasing demand of such travellers, who want to stay in alternative to the hotel room i.e. Private Villas, Apartments, Homes, Houseboats, Treehouses, Tents/Camps to name a few. Travelers can rent a space for multiple people to share, a shared space with private rooms, or the entire property for themselves.
Alternate Accommodation provides more space, more privacy, less crowd and personal care of hosts in cheaper prices than Alternate Accommodations. The Alternate Accommodation team manages supply from Independent hosts, Aggregators, Revenue managers and Chains based across India and has 26k+ accommodations contracted on our platforms. The growth opportunity is infinite. Every household who can spare their second home OR even 1 furnished room in their house is a potential host. The market size is approximately 60K + operational properties in addition to another 100K+ unlocked Homes / Villas.
Key Learnings in this role:
- Drive sales team of 5-10 resources handling large volume of accounts and generating leads
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency for the organization's planning efforts.
- Achieve/exceed supply targets. Identify market opportunities and direct the team to achieve the set Goals. Be strategic and drive business and profitability.
- Proactively Identifying opportunities for process improvement. Works closely with business team management to inspect process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the organization.
- Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
- Direct and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
- Maximize Go-Ibibo & MMT's leverage and contribute to its business agenda at a strategic impact level.
- Influence business and Industry practices by driving innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
- Driving efficiency of the Team through effective people management
Skills you will bring to the table:
1. Relationship and Account Management:
- Identify, Contract and On-board new properties
- Ensure Compliance, Training & Adoption of Go MMT systems and Processes
- Account Development - Ensure both breadth and depth of inventory availability at competitive pricing
- End to end account management and driving sustainable performance of the region
- Handholding, Training & Partnering with the hosts
- Candidate should be able to multitask & drive multiple activities across his partners
2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Tracking the Competitors and Players in the Offline Space to share insights and trends.
- Sharing insights on market and industry with the internal & external stakeholders
- Building MIS & market intelligence reports, preparing geography wise and service wise supply benchmarking and achieving them.
3. Negotiating:
- Negotiation on commercials and competitive pricing with the best in class inventory
- Networking, Deal initiating & closing deal with the hosts

What are we looking for in you?
Relevant Experience:
- Preferred candidates having past work experience in sales/Travel Trade/ Key Account management/ Contracting/B2B Sales.
- Experience in handling multiple accounts as a partner is preferred
- Knowledge of Local Geography & Regional language
- Candidate should be willing to travel extensively
Personality:
- High on energy coupled with great attitude
- Negotiation and Account Management Skill Set
- Multi-Tasking - Should be able to drive multiple initiative in parallel.
- Should be detail oriented, methodical, and organized
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
- Strong drive for results & the ability to work in an extremely dynamic environment
