About the function:
- Growth & Commons Function at MakeMyTrip is in charge of building all the common product experiences for our users such as Homepage, Cross-sell products, Loyalty program, Login & Onboarding, Wallet, Offers and so on.
- We are also a team that focus on growth be it new user acquisition, activating never transacted customers, retention etc.
- As a horizontal product team in the organization we work with all other business units very closely such as Flights, Hotels, Holidays etc.
About the role:
- Product management is a strategic role within an organization focused on developing and managing products or services to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
- It involves defining a product's strategy, roadmap, and features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the product' success in the market.
- As a Lead/Senior Product Manager in the Growth team, you will be responsible for driving a charter that affects millions of users. You will be responsible for building industry leading products in Online Travel industry to deliver growth for MakeMyTrip group.
- There are no silver bullets here as we have been serving customers for 20+ years so the qualities we look for in our product managers - ability to really put users at the center of their thinking, can creatively think about ideas at scale, obsess about delivering a delightful user experience and are super data driven.
- Also, given our scale you should be able to at least sketch out a product launch path which works with the federated architecture of our products.
- It would be helpful though not mandatory that you have experience with Consumer products at scale.
- There are no obvious/low hanging fruits here so the bar for the new ideas/thinking which will truly translate into meaningful metrics for the company is really high.

Key responsibilities:
- Shall include market research, prioritization, feature development, launch co-ordination, and ongoing optimization based on customer feedback and data analysis.
- Product managers act as the bridge between customers, stakeholders, and development teams to deliver valuable and successful products.
What you'll be doing :
- Own the product roadmap: Managing the complete product life cycle & roadmap from conceptualization to release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketers, to define and execute product strategies.
- Analyse product performance post launch and iterate to keep improving the experience.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop user stories, specifications, and wireframes to communicate product requirements.
- Assist in user testing and feedback gathering to refine product features.
- Assist in defining and tracking KPIs to measure the success of product initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to our products
Qualification & Experience :
- MBA from reputed institute with 6-8 years of experience in Product Management.
Key Success factors for the role:
- You will need a very customer first mindset, example how can you make our homepage better for the user without impacting business metrics.
- Be comfortable with web analytics and to some extent SQL. You should be able to roll up your sleeves when it comes to pulling out data.
- You should be comfortable with technology, should be able to build a basic building block diagram of how a feature can potentially work.
- Meticulous in execution, can you scope down a complex product on the fly to meet GTM deadline, can you wireframe and not depend on designers all the time.
- Super communication skills, you will presenting to top leadership from time to time.
- Ability to craft a compelling product narrative/roadmap while incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders.
