About the Function-
The Independent Domestic Hotels Supply team is part of the Hotels Supply business unit, and this team manages Hotel supply for our customers. With a total of 70K + hotels listed on our platforms, this team is responsible for providing strategic direction, direct contracting and managing inventory, pricing, room nights etc. of hotel properties for both MakeMyTrip and Goibibo brands.
About the Role-
This is a critical business leadership role, responsible for driving growth of the region (cluster of multiple western states). As a Regional Manager - West, you would be leading a team of Zonal Managers and Business Development Managers to Identify market opportunities, achieve/exceed the supply goals and be accountable for the revenue generation targets, be strategic and drive business and profitability.
You would be required to proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and ensuring continued business relationships.
Key Responsibility Areas for the Role-
1. Relationship and Account Management:
- You will be responsible for connecting and engaging with the Leadership team members, General Managers, and Sales heads of hotels and will be responsible for driving sustainable performance for the defined portfolio across all channels.
- You will collaborate with partners and provide expertise, metrics, analysis, and recommendations based on the industry's best practices.
2. Portfolio Management and Driving Growth:
- Grow net revenue in the market by producing business plans to achieve revenue goals, ensuring inventory levels exceed demand throughout the market, and ensuring rate competitiveness across multiple available platforms.
- Working with our partners, you set the vision and the strategy for how their business can grow. Build a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and high-performing sales organization by influencing the team's structure, culture, and processes.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with key partner teams.
- Operate as an integral part of the senior management team to drive common strategic themes such as diversity, well-being, belonging and develop MMT's reputation and growth.
3. Contracting & Negotiating:
- Networking, Deal initiation, contracting due diligence, negotiation & closing deal with clients.
4. Business Data-driven Decision Making:
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships, understand nuances of wholesale. business, review monthly production reports and provide data-based feedback. to hotel partners to help improve business achievements.
- Building market intelligence, preparing geography-wise and service-wise sales plans, and achieving them.
- Sharing insights on the market and industry with the clients and internal stakeholders.
5. People Management
- You will manage managers and groups working very closely with cross functional teams.
- You will develop and grow your team's manager and individual contributors as organization leaders and help contribute to the overall business.
Qualification & Experience
- 7-10 years of robust experience in B2B Sales, partner management, key account management and business development roles.
- Experience of handling large teams and must have managed revenue or P&L responsibilities.
- Post Graduation in Business, preferably MBA from Tier I/II B-School.
- Work experience with fast growing Tech-Product/E-commerce/Tech led B2C or FMCG/BFSI organizations will be an added advantage.
