- Preparation of yearly product plan with focus on new and innovative products.
- Ownership of the product
- Oversee and manage the product on daily basis.
- Continuously tracking and monitoring the competition and preparing benchmark report on the same.
- Collaborate with usability and technology team to develop a deep understanding of customers, identify gaps in core product functionality and help build right set of features and track adoption for same
- Rigorously monitor key performance metrics and coordinate with various teams to take corrective actions if needed
- Gather detailed functional requirements and create product requirement (PRDs) and other documents to support rapid development and effectively manage trade-offs between costs/schedules versus customer benefits
- Ensure PRDs, flow diagrams and wireframes are properly translated to live site and drive problem resolution once new features have gone live
- Define and conduct market research to gain better understanding about user behaviour and competition.
- Gather information and data from multiple sources (consumer research, partners, vendors, competitive analysis), develop insights, and translate findings into action
- Engage in defining a strategic creative direction for product and marketing communication
- Provide analytics based insights to help marketing team optimize marketing spends
- Champion customer satisfaction by working with customer support team, oversee customer grievance resolution and trouble shoot in case of escalations
- Work with various support teams to manage operational issues such as fulfilment, external partner relationships, legal and other compliances
- Work with finance and accounting team to identify key cost and revenue drivers for product areas, obtain financial evaluations from finance team for new business options
- Lead a team and show them the growth path as well as mentor them to perform their tasks more effectively and efficiently.
Desired Profile:
- Ideal candidate would have a techno-business background (education or work experience) with 1-4 years work experience. However, candidates who have a proven track record of excellence in other fields are also welcome to apply.
- Bachelors in IT/CS/Engineering or a degree in Business /Eco/Stats is desirable. However, BA/BSc/BComs from top colleges are also encouraged to apply.
- A high level of interest and passion for consumer internet world will be a necessary criterion. Collaboration, passion and user advocacy are a must!
- Be able to work with cross-functional teams, interface with various support function teams such as technology, marketing, sales, customer support, legal and accounting.
- Distinctive problem solving and Quantitative analytical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in thorough and structured thought process.
- Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced unstructured environment with dynamic changing priorities. Willingness and comfort in acting on incomplete knowledge.
- Solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Easily trainable, listens well, picks hints with ease, and be able to work with minimal supervision
- Past experience in an internet company is a great plus.
Work experience in a startup environment would be great advantage.
