ROLE OUTLINE

Job Title: Affiliate Program Manager

Grade: DM

Function: Online Product

Location: Gurgaon

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB (What is the reason that this job exists?)

- To have a sustained and commercial viable growth of the affiliate LOB.

- To penetrate the online hotels business internationally by having NON – INDIAN affiliates promoting our hotel inventory for a commission. We need to have 20% of online hotel business to come from affiliates by end of 2013. The job is critical to enhance MMT brand in international markets.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR)

- Identification of affiliate leads , prioritize , close affiliate API / XML integration while creating a healthy pipeline( Recruit new affiliates , Joint venture partners & strategic partners )

- Be the 1st point of contact with potential affiliates, and make a positive impression ( be charismatic ) of MMT to top management for big companies

- Understand global online affiliate ecosystem and be a part of the overall travel affiliate industry

- Organize meetings with key decision makers and answer all relevant questions about our affiliate program

- Excellent data crunching abilities with good knowledge of excel , and other data mining facilitators.

- Ability to understand and verbalize technical language involved in affiliate implementation.

- Manage top tier accounts and develop affiliate contact management strategy

- Advise other stakeholders within MMT with relevant changes to make this LOB much more effective and efficient

- Be active individual in new product development , and enhancements to have a better affiliate experience.

- Lead and participate in the best practices , customs & culture of affiliate marketing

- Initiate new campaign ideas, incentives & bonus offers

- Represent MMT at trade shows and conferences

SUCCESS INDICATORS

- Big ticket affiliate business relationships closed covering all aspects of commercials , Legal , & SLA

- Number of transactions / bookings and GPM

- Spread of our affiliate business , number of countries where our online product is available

- Establishment of SPOC and opening a healthy line of communication with key decision makers ( Top Management )

- Market / industry/ competitor intelligence substantiated with concrete numbers

- Number of meeting s held / in person / telephonic

- Forecasting affiliate P&L

- Understand internally the complete process flow of a single booking id , right from affiliate click to feedback , including post sales , stuck cases etc

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

- MBA + Tech ( preferred ) from a premier institute in marketing & sales

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

- Strong online sales background for high ticket size.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

- Analytical bent of mind

- Online Travel Domain Experience

- Strong decision making and problem solving skills

- Proficiency with MS office suite, word , excel , power point , outlook

- Have a good knowledge of ONLINE affiliate ecosystem

- Ability to interact with diversified international affiliates on a regular basis and maintain a follow calendar

- Have the empathy to meet global affiliates , understand their local preferences , and provide them with a solution

- Outstanding written /verbal communication & presentation skills

- Basic technical knowledge of white label , API / XML , display affiliates

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

- Excellent soft skills & relationship building & convincing abilities

- Should be outspoken , excellent listening skills & global outlook

- Have the vision and empathy for online trade
