Position : General Manager/Senior General Manager
Profile : Engine Components (Pistons + Camshaft) Sales
Qualification : BE + MBA (Marketing)
Experience : 15+ years of sales/ business development / key account management in automotive sector
Reporting & Location : President & Head of Sales ( India) . The position will be based at Chennai
Primary Responsibilities :
Strategic :
- Manage relationship with key Auto OEMs' accounts and their ancillary units to maximize sales from existing customers.
- Price proposals on the basis of future & current business Scenarios.
- Identify, develop and maintain new customer accounts and manage customer relations
Financial :
- To generate revenue through sale of products and services that are offered by Company.
Operational :
- Responsible for building effective relationship with key account customer - Auto OEMs and their ancillary units.
- Ensure regular connection with customers for taking orders and preparing monthly sales plan
- Maintain a constant touch with key accounts for any new requirement of the customer and ask for new products
- Scan the business environment in Auto OEMs and their ancillary units and explore new products/ modified products and other options for revenue generation for Company.
- Timely evaluate total business potential in OEMs, monitor company's share of wallet and competitor's share of wallet and identify opportunities in new segment of products (Top coats)
- Coordinate with New Product development team for timely development of samples required by Key accounts and their ancillary units.
- Coordinate with Technical sales services (TSS) for smooth customer trials and application of products on customers line
- In case of any complaints make sure key accounts' customer complaint is resolved on priority basis and coordinate with TSS and quality department to ensure root cause analysis of the same
- Regularly coordinate with supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers
- Time to time conduct meetings with client's units Heads and invite B2B sales head for crucial meetings to ensure customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with R&D to attain approvals of their products from client and ensure application of the same in ancillary units
- Responsible for quick disposal of inventory and dead stock to reduce inventory cost
- Coordinate with client and internal legal team to ascertain contractual terms for sign-off
