Business Analyst - Strategy

Responsibilities :

The individual will be a part of the strategy team (currently 2 people) at Mahindra Susten. There are no set deliverables for the role and is supposed to be structured as an internal consulting role.

Key responsibilities would include :

- In depth Industry/ Market/ Competitor Research

- Keep track of policy changes etc in the segment

- Support/ Manage & Deliver existing projects. These could be around process improvements/ cost optimisations/ new product launches/ marketing strategy etc. (It is expected that the individual takes responsibility to identify new projects across the organisation and drive them)

- Build relationships with various agencies (governmental, NGOs, Multilateral etc.) to keep track of the sector

- Maintain MIS for reporting to CXOs

- Support preparation for monthly/ annual reviews with group management

Qualifications/ Skills :

- An engineering degree from top tier engineering colleges (IIT/ BITS/ NIT)- (dual degree with eco/ finance preferred)

- 12-18 months of experience in any of the following is desirable (though not mandatory) :

- Consulting- Analyst roles in consulting firms, focused on power and infra sector

- Financial/ Economic research- Covering the energy/ power sector

- Power/ Automation companies (Eg ABB, Schneider, L&T etc)- Marketing/ Sales/ Product Development/ Strategy roles

- Startups - Product Management/ Business strategy etc.

- Strong understanding of business concepts/ Financial Statements etc.

- Ability to learn and understand new concepts/ technologies easily

- Extremely Curious and Self Driven

- Ability to multitask and prioritise deliverables

- Good grasp on the IOT space and associated technologies

- Very proficient with MS Powerpoint and Excel.
