We are in the process of launching a direct-to-consumer (D2C) mobile commerce and money service very soon. We are looking for passionate people willing to work in high growth start-up environment. We are looking for a technical leader, who will help design and implement innovative mobile products that can fundamentally alter the way we use various services, manage the end-to-end execution of product features, and contribute to product vision and strategy.

As a technical leader, you are someone who can understand and translate business needs into workable technology solutions that meet the needs of customers. You will be accountable and responsible from a technical perspective for the products you lead and will also lead a team of engineers.

You must be an innovative engineering leader who is able to deliver mobile/e-commerce/m-commerce platform experiences for consumers and merchants globally. As successful technical leader at Mahindra Comviva, you need to be innovative, detail-oriented, and adaptable to new development environments and changing business requirements. You should have the ability to roll up your sleeves and become hands on when necessary.

Responsibilities-

Develop strategic planning for the direction and control of product development activities.

- Be a student of current industry trends, ensuring that the company maintains and expands its technology leadership position.

- Responsible for end-to-end delivery, starting from requirements gathering, designing, implementation and maintenance of projects.

- Apply software engineering best-practices, create quality solutions and designs using multiple web development frameworks such as node.js, angular.js, SOA methodology, multi-threaded programming, .

- Communicate effectively with business owners to understand problems and propose innovative solutions.

- Assure that product is designed for specific needs, but with wider applications in mind.

- Have a strong sense of ownership, drive and ability to deliver results in assigned time.

- Independently Create/ Improve/ Influence the architectural decisions

- Introduce new architectural elements based on current needs

- Demonstrate strong work ethics and always biased for action to meet commitments and timelines.

- Design systems that simply and enhance customer experience

- Ensure that product development is focused on meeting and exceeding the customer requirements.

Skills and QUALIFICATIONS

Must Haves

- Out of the box thinker- must be key driver contributing to the products roadmap and willing to take innovative product risk while balancing the road map for on time deliverables

- BTech, MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).

- The experience of having been in platform/ product software engineering for at least 8 or more years

- Strong proficiency of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, Javascript

- Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it

- Extensive knowledge of Internet technologies (HTTP, REST, SOAP, XML) / Experience in Shell, Java, Perl, Ruby, or Python (at least two).

- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application / Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds

- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

- Obsession with quality and customer experience

- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

- Active team player who will establish healthy working relationships and lead others by example.

Good to have

- Prior startup experience (e-commerce background is a bonus)

- AWS experience

- Contributions to open source projects
