Magnon Group - Proofreader/Editor - Studio Production

Job Description:

- Proofread and review all documents for accurate use of grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and correct content placement, while strictly maintaining tenets of the brand voice according to the clients style guide.

- Will note corrections and revisions and organize follow-up procedures to ensure that changes, edits, and comments have been addressed.

- The proofreader will be working independently on multiple projects simultaneously and must be always able to confidently practice effective communication with team members and managers.

- Must have excellent time management skills to be accurate and confident while working in a fast-paced studio production environment.

- Oversee and maintain style guides and update supporting documents as needed.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of prior proofreading or copy-editing experience.

- Excellent command on UK British English.

- Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and Associated Press Style.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent in communications, advertising, English, or related studies.

- PG/Certificate Course in Proofreading and Editing would be preferred.

- An excellent grasp of English grammar, syntax, and punctuation; sharp editing skills; and fluency in proofreading markup language and procedures.

- Must be familiar with project types and channels, including print, digital banners, email, packaging, OOH signage, and DOOH.

Preferred skills:

- Must know - Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Google Docs.

- Good to know - Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

Note:

- This job position requires to work in UK time zone shift (01:30pm to 10:30pm)

- The responsibilities are not restricted to the above defined KRA.
