magicpin is a start-up by ex-IIT and ex-IIM graduates with extensive experience in top tier consulting firms, start-ups and marquee VC firms (http://magicpin.in/about-us/).We are building a platform which enables local merchants to promote themselves and thus get discovered by their customers. It aims at the $500B+ Indian local retail market. It is re-imagining how local retail should happen in the mobile first world we all live in.

Job responsibilities include :

- Updating day to day accounting entries in Tally

- Preparing monthly financial statement like balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statement, etc

- Invoice booking and payment for vendors & various monthly expenses

- Handling daily NEFT/RTGS/fund transfers

- Handling statutory compliance regarding filing various returns and timely compliance of depositing PF, ESIC, labour welfare, etc

- Monthly TDS reconciliation (salary, contractor, Rent, professional fees, etc), payment of TDS online & issue of TDS Certificates (Form 16 and 16A)

- Review of Accounting Policies, Notes & Other disclosures

- Providing advice on taxation related matters

Ideal Candidate profile :

- A qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum 6 months of work experience

- Should have significant experience of working with tally and other accounting software

- Well versed with advanced excel

- In-depth knowledge of income tax act, service tax act and other statutory compliance with experience of filing various returns (like PF, ESI, etc)

- Knowledge of filing GST returns would be an added advantage

- High level of dedication with an ability to do multi-tasking
