Job Purpose :
Property Services is a new business vertical and a core focus area for Magicbricks with very high growth potential. The Category Manager for Property Services will be responsible for driving end-to-end growth for this business in the designated categories under their supervision. S/he will be responsible for understanding consumer needs and driving a strong product/market fit through changes in the offering, product, processes, vendors or any other levers. The candidate will handle the complete P&L responsibility for the business in its designated categories and report to the Business Development Head for Property Services.
Key responsibilities :
- Responsible for monthly / quarterly / annual business performance - revenues, costs / margins and customer satisfaction.
- Analyse data and insights from industry and consumer trends, define the long-term strategic plan for category growth
- Build and manage the sales and operations teams to deliver the desired business outcomes
- Identify and manage vendors to improve pricing and quality of services, build and foster relationships with them
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Finance, and Operations, etc. to build stronger consumer products and improve internal process efficiencies
- Work closely with senior stakeholders for category reviews and alignment on forward direction
Key skillsets required :
- Previous experience in category management in B2C / e-commerce is preferred
- Excellent analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities, with comfort in handling technology-based tools / applications
- Strong business acumen - ability to push the immediate and the larger team to execute the day-to-day goals, leading teams effectively in a complex environment and with optimal cost structure
- Passion for Results, high degree of commitment with bias for execution excellence
- Strong team player, with high self-confidence and dynamism
Qualifications and Experience :
- MBA from a Tier-1 institute
- 3+ years of experience in Category Manager roles
- Experience in reputed B2C companies in the legal services / home inspection / property valuation space would be a plus
