Magic Bus India Foundation, founded in 1999 by Matthew Spacie, stands among the top five NGOs in India dedicated to education and skill development. Our organisation equips adolescents and young individuals with essential life skills and knowledge to thrive during the transition from childhood to livelihood.

Our mission is to create a world where young people break free from poverty, leading fulfilling and rewarding lives while making positive contributions to their communities. We achieve this by enabling adolescents to complete their secondary education, providing them with the necessary skills for employment, and connecting them to job market opportunities. Our target age group ranges from 12 to 24 years.

We operate two flagship programs: the Adolescent Programme and the Livelihood Programme:

- In our Adolescent Programme, we prioritise the instillation of life skills and the enhancement of education. Through our network of 2,770 connected schools operating in 72 districts across 24 states, we have positively impacted the lives of over 1 million adolescents, with an impressive 51% participation rate of girls.

- The Livelihood Programme focuses on enhancing employability by providing specialised skills training and connecting young individuals to sustainable livelihood opportunities. Through our 95 Livelihood Centres and 825 Colleges, we offer sector-specific training, job placements, and post-placement support. This programme, operational in 13 states, has achieved an impressive 56% participation rate among girls and has successfully facilitated the placement of 2,02,429 youths to date.

Role Overview:

As the Learning & Development Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Leading members from HR, L&D and stakeholders from business verticals to design, implement, and manage comprehensive learning initiatives. Your expertise will aid in aligning our organization's learning goals with its strategic objectives. You will work alongside various departments to identify training needs, develop impactful programs, and measure the effectiveness of our learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the DGM-Learning & Development to craft a cohesive learning and development strategy that effectively supports our business objectives and nurtures a culture of continuous learning.

- Collaborate with the Program Development & Curriculum team to assess and evaluate learning needs and work towards building Learning solutions to bridge the capability gaps

- Prepare monthly Learning Calendar and ensure 100% adherence to the calendar

- Serve as Magic Bus brand ambassador to the new hires and deliver the structured induction program for the new hires.

- Plan, schedule and facilitate all aspects of end to end delivery of the orientation program for new hires and the Capability development plans for the employee force

- Conduct engaging training sessions using various methodologies, including in-person training, virtual sessions and self-paced e-learning.

- Facilitate function-wise sessions by the concerned Function Heads

- Design and deliver dynamic training programs, workshops, and resources tailored to diverse learning preferences, fostering enhanced employee skills and knowledge.

- Collaborate with the Program development team to Curate, create, and customize learning content, including e-learning modules, videos, and materials to enrich the learning experience.

- Collaborate with external training partners, managing vendor relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality external training when necessary.

- Establish metrics to evaluate the impact of learning initiatives, gather participant feedback, analyze data, and continuously refine programs for optimal outcomes.

- Stay abreast of learning technologies and tools, integrating innovative solutions to elevate the quality of learning experiences.

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Mobility requirements: The role would be based in Magic Bus Head Office located in Airoli, Navi Mumbai and may be required to travel occasionally to connect with the stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.

- 5-7 years of proven experience in Learning & Development, preferably within a dynamic, high-growth environment.

- Understanding of learning theories, instructional design principles, and adult learning methodologies.

- Outstanding project management capabilities

- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS)

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

- Strong analytical skills, enabling you to measure and communicate training effectiveness.

- Relevant certifications or credentials are advantageous.
