Position Title : Senior Specialist Functional T&D OPS, Training and Development
Reports to Operations T&D Manager
Location Chennai
Job grade Senior Specialist
Purpose/Summary: Build functional capabilities of staff through innovative approaches contributing to continuous improvement in skills / performance. Strengthen skilled employee pool through learning strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage training requirements at the site through innovative solutions
- Competency mapping/skillset identification for various roles
- Ensure BAU in the face of attrition with back-up training, new joiner training effectiveness, skill enhancement of existing resources
- Training needs identification/analysis
- Provide solutions to address needs
- Deployment of agreed solutions
- Collaborate with other Functional T&D focals for cross-training, best practice sharing activities
- Evaluation of training through post training evaluation, knowledge checks, etc. and effectiveness of training
- Implementation of functional training framework through
- Training deployment plans, execution of training processes and measurement of ROI
- Completion of learning as per the legible roadmaps for New hire training, process training,
- Focus on improving floor performance through training - enhance productivity & accuracy; anticipate risks due to knowledge gaps and attrition
- Creation and implementation of Pre-OJT training plans; training support to team members during after OJT
- Learning curve analysis and remedial training for team members
The incumbent will be responsible for all training and development activities for Operations at respective site.

- Understanding of various aspects of the training cycle - initiation, identification, design, development and delivery, and measurement of learning solutions
