Maersk Line - Analytics Leader

Position will lead the Advanced Analytics products portfolio for all business units .

- Participate in defining the global advanced analytics strategy & to build and develop a high performing world-class Advanced Analytics team that will cater to all the group business units and functions, Complete empowerment to study and determine opportunities to develop and deploy advanced analytics products using cutting-edge knowledge of data science related methods and tools to create results and insights that will accelerate the business transformation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Be responsible for bringing to bear analytical tools and techniques to help exceed business goals. This involves managing a team of data scientists to deploy analytical solutions for the business.

- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise advanced data scientists and analysts and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

- Be responsible for managing stakeholder expectations and overall delivery of AA projects and programs. To define and promote an agile model development and execution methodology and know-how.

- Identify and build ways of ensuring impact creation (embed AA model output back into the business)- Scout market (software house start-up, academia, AA communities/actors) for opportunities to increase speed, productivity and quality of advanced analytics activities.

- Drive and participate to recruitment activities to acquire top talents in the field

- Work closely with the various BUs to develop world class systems and processes.

We are looking for :

- An advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research or related field, with 9-12 years of relevant experience in building and leading a global advanced analytics team.

- Experience managing,recruiting, mentoring, and developing a team of data scientists, engineers, advanced analysts preferably in a Global 500 Captive.

- Experience with project Management, Agile methodologies, Scrum.

- Familiarity and ease with the analytical tools landscape in the industry today. Be tool agnostic but be well versed in fitting the right tool to the right analytical need

- Someone who can ideate,conceptualize, develop and deploy advanced analytics solutions to create business impact. A proven track record is desirable

- Strong attention to detail.

- Analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, and good communication skills.

- Experience and proven track records in ensuring model accuracy and performance (evaluation, validation, tuning, etc.).
