Senior Manager - Business Development


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Development:

- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities1 in the steel industry. -

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

Key Account Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the steel industry.

- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on DS Reagents and Total DS Management Solutions.

Sales and Marketing:

- Lead sales negotiations and close deals with clients.

- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote our products and services.

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients.

- Manage and provide technical support to clients.

HMDS Plant Operations & Support:

- Promote and sell HMDS Plant Operation and Maintenance services.

- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on HMDS plant operations.

- Ensure client satisfaction with HMDS plant services.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals.

- Set performance targets and monitor team performance.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement.

- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.

Requirements:

- Education: BE/BTech in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience: 15-20 years of experience in business development or marketing within the steel industry, with at least 10 years specifically in marketing of steel plant consumables.

- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the steel industry and DS Reagents.

- Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.

- Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding of HMDS plant operations and steel manufacturing processes.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and identify trends.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata.
