About the Role

M2P Fintech is looking for a subject matter expert & product owner for Liabilities & Payments business areas who will specialize in managing the M2P Ledger product offerings in this space including supporting the current set of customers & implementing clients for the Product Solutions deliverables . You will serve as the main point of contact for internal & external client queries on the product & offered solutions and foster strong client relationships. The role also entails collaborating with clients to gather new requirements and translating them into features for product development, working alongside product managers and developers to enhance offerings based on market feedback, emerging banking trends and the product backlog. Additionally, you will create detailed product documentation and conduct training sessions for internal teams on the respective product areas.'

What Will You Do in this Role

Client Support and Issue Resolution:

- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients regarding liabilities and payments / transaction processing queries, guiding them through complex issues and providing expert solutions.

- Proactively manage and resolve client issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

- Maintain strong relationships with clients by thoroughly understanding their needs and offering optimum solutions that enhance their banking operations.

Requirement Development:

- Collaborate with clients to gather and interpret their requirements for liability management, payments and transaction processing, translating them into actionable product features and enhancements.

- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate client requirements into the product backlog and roadmaps.

- Continuously identify and propose enhancements to existing product offerings based on client feedback and market needs.

Liability Management, Payments and Transaction Processing:

- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of liability products such as savings accounts, current accounts, term deposits, and others.

- Document and define end-to-end lifecycle events related to liability products and transaction processing, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operations.

- Have a clear understanding on the various Payments clearing and settlement mechanisms including Low value payments, High value payments, Faster payments and cheque clearing mechanisms across some of the markets.

- Localise and / or build support for clearing and settlements mechanisms / payment rails for the target markets.

- Implement best practices for transaction processing including payment transfers, clearing & settlements, reconciliations and error handling procedures.

Industry Trends and Compliance:

- Stay informed of the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in liability products management, payments and transaction processing.

- Ensure that our products and processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, local practices and industry norms.

- Provide insights and recommendations to the product managers based on industry trends to drive product innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Documentation and Training:

- Develop comprehensive documentation for handled product areas, including product specifications, user guides, and training materials.

- Conduct training sessions for internal teams to enhance their understanding of liability products, payments and transaction processing , ensuring they can effectively support clients.

What You'll Need to be Successful in this Role

- 6+ years of relevant domain and business analysis/ product owner, product solutions, and implementation consultant experience in a leading core banking and/or retail & commercial deposits, payments and branch operations software products.

- Exposure, experience and expertise in Agile Development methodologies is highly desirable.

- Prior domain expertise in a banking institution in liabilities, teller and branch operations and direct end user experience on core banking and/ or branch operations software products would be desirable.

- End-to-end project lifecycle experience as a functional consultant in one to two implementations would be an added advantage.
