Lynk is building a technology platform to address the challenges FMCG companies face in distributing their products to a lakhs of retailers across the country. The rise of B2B e-commerce companies has put tremendous pressure on the existing fragmented distribution set-up that caters to over 85% of the retailers. The existing distributors do not have the required systems or technology to effectively compete with the e-commerce companies.
Lynk has a "unique" business model that is backed by the right technology elements making it a "preferred" distribution partner to many FMCG companies. The business was launched in Aug 2020 during the first covid wave and is on a rapid growth track. Lynk is already the largest organized distributor for FMCG products in the country. Lynk is present in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad , Bangalore, Delhi & Kolkata.
Job Title: Business Head
The role will involve setting up new initiatives from scratch and/or rapidly scaling nascent initiatives into large businesses at Lynk. This role will build and manage a team and will have revenue responsibility. This role reports directly to COO and will eventually grow into a senior leadership position at Lynk.
Job Description :
- Responsible for PnL, Managing Warehouses, and Overseeing distribution
- Manage for cost and productivity in warehouse & Sales operations
- Hire, motivate, train and sustain a high performance warehouse, sales & Operations team
- Ensure the warehouse is compliant with current safety and health regulations and the team is trained properly
- Prepares SOPs and ensures adherence for fulfilment & Sales processes
- Manage performance and cost of drivers attached to the warehouses
- Manage customer accounts that the warehouse services. Grow the customer base by providing excellent service
- Liaise with corporate functions as needed for smooth functioning of the business in the city
Requirements:
Engineering and MBA from tier 1 institutions
- 8 + years of work experience, demonstrated track record of setting up or managing a business unit
- Strong analytical skills, people skills and data driven decision making skill is a must
- Prior experience in FMCG sales is a plus
