Role Overview:

- The Business Development Manager will be a key player in driving Lucent Innovation's growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.

- This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive and strategic approach to building relationships with potential clients and expanding our market presence.

- The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the IT software services landscape, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

New Business Development:

- Actively identify and research potential clients and target markets within the IT software services industry.

- Generate new leads through various channels including networking, cold outreach, industry events, and online research.

- Develop and implement effective strategies for lead generation and conversion.

- Qualify leads and assess their potential to become long-term clients.

Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.

- Act as the primary point of contact for new clients throughout the sales cycle.

- Conduct effective presentations and demonstrations of Lucent Innovation's services and capabilities.

- Understand client requirements and translate them into viable solutions and proposals.

Sales and Negotiation:

- Develop and present compelling business proposals tailored to the specific needs of potential clients.

- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

- Work closely with the technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with client expectations.

- Track and manage the sales pipeline, providing regular updates on progress and forecasts.

- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.

Market Research and Analysis:

- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

- Analyze market data to inform business development strategies and identify potential niches.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in IT software services and technologies.

Business Proposal Development:

- Collaborate with technical teams and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive and persuasive business proposals.

- Ensure proposals are accurate, address client needs, and highlight Lucent Innovation's value proposition.

- Manage the proposal development process, ensuring timely submission and adherence to client requirements.

Industry Engagement:

- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and identify potential leads.

- Represent Lucent Innovation professionally and effectively at industry gatherings.

- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends.

Internal Collaboration:

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to ensure seamless client onboarding and project delivery.

- Communicate client feedback and market insights to internal teams to improve service offerings and strategies.

- Contribute to the development of sales and marketing materials.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

- Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in business development and sales within an IT software service-based firm is mandatory.

- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and closing sales deals.

- Experience in lead generation, market research, and sales strategy development.

Technical Skills:

- Understanding of various IT software services and technologies (e.g, application development, web development, cloud services, data analytics, etc.

- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM) and other sales tools for managing leads and tracking progress.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

- Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations to potential clients.

- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand client needs and develop creative solutions.

- Time Management and Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Self-Motivation and Initiative: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results.

- Results-Oriented: A strong focus on achieving targets and exceeding expectations.

- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.

- MBA or a relevant Master's degree is a plus
