Job Title: E-commerce Optimization (CRO) Lead

About the Role:

Lucent Innovation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced E-commerce Optimization (CRO) Lead with a strong and demonstrable track record of success managing and optimizing Shopify-based e-commerce platforms. This pivotal role will be responsible for spearheading our clients' conversion rate optimization initiatives on their Shopify stores. You will leverage your deep understanding of user behavior, A/B testing methodologies, and Shopify's ecosystem to develop and execute data-driven strategies that significantly improve conversion rates, enhance user experience, and ultimately drive substantial business growth. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities: -

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Strategy:

Develop and implement comprehensive CRO strategies tailored to individual client needs and Shopify platform specifics.

Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of A/B and multivariate testing initiatives across various elements of the Shopify store (e.g., landing pages, product pages, checkout process, navigation).

Conduct thorough user behavior analysis using tools like heatmaps, session recordings, and surveys to identify pain points and optimization opportunities.

Map and optimize customer journeys to improve funnel performance and reduce drop-off rates.

Stay abreast of the latest e-commerce trends, CRO best practices, and Shopify platform updates.

Shopify Project Management:

Plan, execute, and manage end-to-end Shopify projects related to CRO initiatives, including new feature implementations, app integrations, and theme updates.

Oversee the seamless integration of relevant third-party applications to enhance functionality and optimize the user experience.

Coordinate with development teams to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of design and technical changes.

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to e-commerce performance and conversion rates.

Proficiently utilize Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and other relevant data analysis tools to extract actionable insights.

Develop and present clear, concise reports on testing results, performance trends, and optimization recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Translate data insights into strategic recommendations and future testing hypotheses.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

Work closely and collaboratively with design, development, marketing, and client teams to align CRO strategies with overall business objectives.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to present findings, explain technical concepts, and gain buy-in for optimization initiatives.

Foster a data-driven culture within the organization and with clients, advocating for the importance of continuous testing and optimization.

Provide guidance and expertise on e-commerce best practices and Shopify platform capabilities.

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience managing and optimizing Shopify-based e-commerce projects with a strong focus on conversion rate optimization.

Deep understanding of CRO methodologies, principles of user-centered design, and A/B and multivariate testing frameworks.

Demonstrable experience in planning, executing, and analyzing A/B tests, with a strong understanding of statistical significance.

High proficiency in utilizing the Shopify admin interface, reporting functionalities, and integrating various Shopify apps to enhance store performance and user experience.

Strong familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and user behavior analysis tools like Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or Google Optimize.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable strategies.

Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Analytics, E-commerce, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
