We have one exciting opportunity at M& A, Mumbai to work under the direct supervision of Head-M& A. Candidates with good educational qualifications and experience will be preferred.

No gaps in educations. The role is built on the following deliverables:

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) : 

- Facilitate identification & validation of suitable inorganic growth Opportunities for L&T's businesses

- Manage complete M&A process right from target identification, managing investment bankers/legal counsels, due diligence, negotiating documents, accounts/taxation to post-transaction integration

- Gain market insights in a timely and proactive manner that may be leveraged in planning inorganic growth initiatives

Fund raising : 

- Explore and execute the best possible fund raising options i.e. QIPs, PE firms, capital markets, IPO/Bonds issues in the domestic & international markets

Due Diligence : 

- Conduct preliminary due diligence to identify and shortlist target companies in specific domains/ sectors

- Compile and analyze data regarding companies to be acquired, and interpret its financial health based on data analysis

- Conduct detailed due diligence at a later stage once the target has been finalized, and develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations regarding the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization

Valuation : 

- Understand the best financial structure for acquiring the target (cash vs. equity) and work with the teams on both sides to fulfill it

- Present the valuation findings to the senior management/ board and share his/ her recommendations on the price of acquisition

Accounts, Compliance &Taxation

- Analyze taxation and regulatory compliance matters

- Maintain strong relationships with bankers and other FIs

Deal Closure - Closure of Transactions without any loose ends

Integration - Understand the value unlocking levers post merger/ acquisition, and create a roadmap to unlock these levers
 
Ideal Candidate: 

- 4-10 years of relevant work experience

- CA/CFA/MBA in Finance, Engineering from a reputed Institute

- Ability to execute Transactions-Strategic/Financial/Exits/M&A

- Expert in financial modelling and valuations

- Having interacted with the board group leadership as much as with unit level leadership on matters of strategic finance

- Demonstrate from previous experience capability in negotiating detailed commercial contract

Skills and Competencies: 

- Possess very strong financial analysis and business orientation

- Strong interpersonal dynamics, and stature

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with Exemplary report writing and presentation skills

- Knowledge or awareness of our industry and business

- Project Management capability

- Highly developed attention to detail
