Job Purpose :

The role is being created to help with the aggressive new products launch agenda. Organic Product is a core focus of LTFood's growth strategy and several new products will be launched over the next 3 years.

The new Brand Manger role is being created to help in bringing new products from concept definition to in market success.

Specifically, the role is being created to help the Marketing Manager in :

1. Defining the launch strategy and plan for new products

2. To deliver the budgeted volume and profit goals post launch

Key Deliverables of the role are :

1. Creating a Launch Recommendation document for gaining senior management approval.

2. In the launch planning to specifically own

a. The creation of the launch sales and trade marketing plans based on trade insights through secondary research and substantive in-market observations and hypothesis testing. Previous experiences will help build these into a robust launch plan.

b. Work with Marketing Manager on creating consumer communication plans.

3. To deliver the plans within budget and with the planned impacts on gaining distribution; visibility and in creating offtake.

4. To work with Head Modern Trade in creating presentation to MT

5. To track performance post launch in terms of volume and spends and ensure their delivery as per plan based, and based on actual performance to recommend alterations to plans to achieve the desired results.

Key Skills and Competencies Required :

1. Ability to work in a planned and structured manner. An ability to adhere to processes, while taking pragmatic calls to keep the project moving will be required. Adherence to timelines is key

2. Creativity and Innovation in defining the most impactful plans.

3. Business Analysis and Business Savvy. Ability to work towards a business goal and not just be focused on activity goals. And to work within cost and P&L parameters.

4. Working Effectively with Others and Forging productive working relationships. The role needs working across several functions and different people to achieve plans on time.

5. Analytical skills : ability to work with data and an ability to create meaningful insights and hypothesis based on a variety of data sources, both structured and formal data and informal observations based insights. Possessing and analytical way of working where the person defines the key issues and defines and executes the approach to find solutions to those issues will be needed.

6. The role will need to travel (7-10 days a month in definition of programmes and consumer research stage) and which will be higher during launch and immediate post launch months.

Desired Profile :

- Ideal candidate will be an MBA with 5 + years work experience in an FMCG company.

- Experience in Food business a definite plus.

- Candidate would currently be working in Brand Management, preferably in a similar role, and would have initial 1-2 years experience in Sales / Trade Marketing.

- Candidates in Trade Marketing who have worked with Marketing in creating Marketing and Sales Plans and specially NPD plans can also be considered. They will however need to be MBA graduates.
