Logistics Consultant - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual Role

- At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

- Our client is a global consulting firm. They are carrying out a multi-year EBITDA transformation project for a major client in the Cement manufacturing industry. This includes full-scale design and implementation of multiple end-to-end cost reduction initiatives across various departments like manufacturing, procurement and logistics.

- They are looking for a consultant with prior experience in the logistics domain to support them on this project. The consultant will utilize his/her prior experience and technical understanding of the subject to design cost reduction initiatives; independently run them and ensure effective implementation to deliver client value.

Below summarizes the role:

- Developing plans for improving operational efficiency or creating new operational processes where needed

- Identifying cost reduction opportunities by developing alternate & cost-effective modes of transport, optimizing warehouse operations, reducing the overall turnaround time and ensuring effective inventory optimization

- Evaluating processes and recommending changes to improve efficiency or effectiveness

- Overseeing the implementation of logistical improvement strategies

- Effective governance and controls (reporting, budget, risk, and issue management)

- Manage overall module while working with the rest of the team

- Effective communication and senior stakeholder management

Experience needed:

- 2 to 12 years of experience in the logistics domain

- Good communication & client management skills

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 6-months contract. The location for this project is Satna, Madhya Pradesh and the selected consultant would be required to be on-site for 5 days a week and would also be provided fly backs over the weekend.
