Group Data Lead
Job Summary:
- The Group Data Lead will be responsible for leading data management, utilization, sharing, privacy, acquisition, planning, and augmentation efforts at the group level.
- This role will involve managing data analysts from the individual companies within the group who are responsible for developing data strategies for their respective businesses.
- The Group Data Lead will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across the group and ensuring that data is leveraged effectively to achieve business objectives.
- Data being the biggest input to drive our business, this role will be responsible for managing group level data and utilising the same to efficiently achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Group Data Management Efforts:
- Data management to ensure data quality, applicability, utilization and consistency across the group and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with data analysts from individual companies to align data management practices and standards.
2. Manage Data Acquisition and Augmentation:
- Oversee the acquisition of new data sources and the augmentation of existing data to enhance the group's data assets.
- Identify and evaluate potential data sources and vendors to meet the group's data needs.
3. Develop Group Data Planning Strategies:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand their data needs and develop data planning strategies to support their objectives.
- Ensure that data planning strategies align with the group's overall business goals and objectives.
4. Drive Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Promote a data-driven culture across the group, advocating for the use of data to inform decision-making at all levels of the organization.
5. Analyze Market Trends and Best Practices:
- Stay informed about market trends and best practices in data management, acquisition, planning, and augmentation.
- Apply knowledge to continuously improve data practices and drive innovation in data management across the group.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Information Management, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, with a focus on data acquisition, planning, and augmentation. Experience in statistical modelling will be a bonus.
- Solid understanding of data management principles and best practices.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data management.
