With annual revenues of ~3,500+ crores, scale of Palava is larger than most real estate companies in India.  Palava is seeking an entrepreneurial individual to lead the marketing of the world-class city that Palava is slated to become. The role will involve marketing the city, as well as its public spaces and facilities with a longer term focus that attracts new customer segments  What is Palava-   Palava is amongst the largest private developments in the world, spread across 4,500+ acres of private land, and is being developed as sister city to Mumbai and one of the first Smart cities in India. Palava aims to be recognized amongst the 50 most livable cities in the world by 2025 with a focus on high quality urban planning, infrastructure, institutions, governance and participative citizenship. Over the next 20 years, the city will be home to over 2 million people and 500,000 jobs demonstrably showing how urbanization in India can achieve best-in-class living with economic success for the city.  Palava is strategically located 10 kms away from the upcoming International airport of Mumbai and 20 mins from the major employment hubs of Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan.  Palava Today  Since its start in 2009-10, over 23,000 homes have already been sold - by 2015-16, over 100,000 people will stay here. The focus would be to project Palava as a true City of Opportunity, by continuously demonstrating and enhancing the liveability quotient of the city, and thereby bringing in new audiences to sample what the city has to offer beyond just the residences.  - Revenue generation: Developing and implementing revenue generating marketing plans for all public spaces in the city, including the upcoming mall, the various sports facilities and recreational areas. Establishing alliances and partners for effective utilization of public spaces and generation of revenue for the city.  - Activation of public spaces in Palava to improve the liveability quotient of the city: Working with the leads of various city institutions (Arts and Culture, Sports, Mall) to conceptualize various ways of activating public spaces in the city, including events, branding, building participative citizenship. Analyzing the impact of campaigns/events on the impressions of Palava citizens about the city as a place to live and accordingly planning new campaigns. Creating literature and video materials for Palava from content generated in the city. Implementing campaigns to create a strong base of internal brand ambassadors and advocates.  - Communication: Developing an overall communication and digital strategy for the city for the creation of a city voice in the online and offline space. Amplification of on-ground activations and enhancement of social media presence with a view to building online communities of interest. Liaising with the local media for media coverage of events/activities in the city. Blogs and media stories to project the city as a thought leader. Managing the citizen's portal and enhancing the user experience through effective and relevant content.  Position Qualifications:  - The following education, experience, management, and leadership criteria have been identified as important skills and abilities for candidates to possess and demonstrate (not in order of importance):  - Candidate must have spent at least 5 years in the marketing division of a marketing- driven organization, with significant exposure to both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing, including experience in online marketing / social media.  - Candidate should have worked extensively with advertising/activation agencies and partners, and with vendors in the events and activations space.  - Candidate should be able to work well with a variety of stakeholders across functions, including central marketing, sales, strategy, the PCMA office, facilities management, the central events team, etc. An ability to collaborate and bring people together will be essential for success.  - Candidate should demonstrate leadership capabilities to carry along a team and stakeholders in the city building process.  - Project management capabilities would be important to deliver on a calendar of city based activations and events.
