Business Analyst: Pricing & Profitability Management - Marketing
Purpose
- Use excellent analytics, reporting and database skills to analyze profitability, pricing & costing information from development systems ensuring that the pricing and profitability strategy is accurate and impacts on Positive Predictive Value (PPV) and margin levels that are acknowledged understood & executed with rigour.
- Drive efficiency improvements in the pricing, creation process with particular focus on efficiency and simplicity.
- Fully understand the costing process and customer requirements through open and clear communication to ensure delivery of on-time and accurate costing/pricing information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute pricing information, ensuring the process is critically reviewed and complete, accurate documentation is available.
- Create, analyse and follow up reports which identify data accuracy, ensuring issues are solved in a timely manner using existing tools or developing new ones.
- Continuously offer insight and advice on how to improve pricing and pricing communication and processes in order to enhance service to the brands and drive efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain open communication with costing and subsidiaries
- Understand flow of data into and out of our systems and organizational customers and stakeholders. Communicate data and process requirements as appropriate to all
Projects:
- Lead projects related to and impacting of pricing logic from time to time
- Drive simple and efficient structural solutions for pricing & costing by liaising with internals teams viz. Cost management & Audit, sales planning & Brand Managers/Category heads .
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Access software incl. Macros and VBA required.
- Good knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Excellent and demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrating creativity and initiative and acting in a result orientated way.
- Thorough understanding of flow of goods and money.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines with planning and organization skills.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Post Graduate University degree ideally with a focus on finance, business analysis, supply chain, and/or IT
- Minimum of 2 -3 years working experience in relevant area.
