Procurement Lead
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements, and manage vendor relationships.
- Manage the procure-to-pay process, including purchase order creation, invoice processing, and payment reconciliation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and requirements, specifically in areas such as Marketing, IT, CAPEX, and OPEX.
- Build and maintain a strong supplier base, conducting supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations related to procurement and vendor management.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the Finance team to develop and manage procurement budgets for different functions, optimizing spending while maintaining quality.
- Monitor and track procurement expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and proposing strategies to minimize procurement costs.
- Utilize Excel and Google Sheets proficiently to analyze procurement data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance, presenting insights to the management team.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on procurement-related matters.
- Continuously improve procurement processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- 4+ years experience in years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in the procure-to-pay process and experience in buying functions such as Marketing, IT, CAPEX, and OPEX, preferably in a startup or e-commerce environment.
- Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and best practices
- Experience with Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
